BX M&A/PJT M&A
Curious to hear about why PJT M&A is considered a notch below other elite groups (PJT RSSG, GS TMT/FIG, MS M&A, CVP Biopharma) when it was considered one of the best groups out there when it was under Blackstone? Obviously a great spot but seems like people on this site treat PJT M&A as a lot worse than what BX M&A used to be.
Just the caliber of recruits at PJT M&A isn't what it was used to be. Look up Linkedin and compare M&A exits. I am sure kids are getting all the looks but just having hard time converting them.
CVP Biopharma lol
Doesn’t tokat have CVP biopharma on every reputable biopharma deal? Thought they were the major player in the space.
bump
Blackstone M&A always underperformed as a business. It was a great place to work as a junior and we got real responsibility and deal experience, but it wasn’t the hard charging business it could have been with more decisive leadership, despite having some very good bankers.
The reputation was earned amongst college students because we had a 5-6 analyst class and could hire the best of the best from Harvard and Wharton and they killed it whatever they did, and thus the myth perpetuated itself,
