Calgary or Toronto for IB

Hey everyone

I had some quick questions about IB in Canada and which city I should be focusing on. Toronto being the financial capital of Canada would most likely have the biggest job market but I'm leaning more toward Calgary due to the cheap COL and housing. Also, I have more of an interest in energy than mining which is what you'd cover in Toronto.

Does anyone know if it's worth it to pursue a career in finance in Calgary or should I avoid it because the market is smaller?

How does the comp compare between Toronto and Calgary? What can a more senior banker (VP/D/MD) make in Calgary compared to Toronto?

With the oil prices being so volatile does this result in lay-offs or just no hiring seasons?

Finally, would anyone know how many people get hired in IB from Haskayne compared to Ivey? (From what I hear Haskayne is where to go for IB in Calgary)

Thanks!
