Can an Institutional Banking connection land you an IB internship?
Long story short: I have a very good connection with someone who has a high position in Institutional Banking at a big bank in Europe. The bank at the city he lives/works in also has an Investment Banking Division. My question is: Can this contact in Institutional Banking be helpful in helping me land an Investment Banking internship this summer? How closely connected are these two divisions (Institutional Banking and Investment Banking)? Thanks!
