Can someone be fired for an ADHD diagnosis
Have a friend looking to get ADHD meds for their upcoming analyst stint, was wondering what the current sentiment on Wall Street regarding this is. Know you have to disclose such info to your firm, and was wondering if doing so could lead to negative consequences such as being terminated, etc, as at-will employment terms can make reasons for being fired pretty ambiguous. How does disclosing this in future applications effect chances as well? any help appreciated, thx.
Yeah they will be fired but it will be classifed for something else. Like they might not fire him right away but they might wait say something else and shit
Are you serious? I have ADHD and have been recruiting for a few months. Have been wondering about ADHD and firms attitudes toward this. I assumed it wouldn’t matter as long as you produce results
No user is wildly misinformed. Have worked at a reputable MM M&A group (WB/HL/Piper) as well as a top BB Levfin group. Nobody cares about this.
Don’t disclose it, it doesn’t matter. I got the diagnosis during my IB stint for similar reasons. It didn’t matter to any of my employers.
