CapIQ vs. CapIQ Pro?

Reading the documentation and talking to CIQ support — it seems as though CapIQ pro is going to / currently is supposed to be a total replacement for CapIQ.

The plug ins appear to be incompatible together — which is frustrating if your team uses both.

The new website seems to have a slightly cleaner UI but less functionality and worse presentation of data and financials.

Anyone have any idea which one I should be using and why?

Seriously fuck cap iq pro I hate that shit why would they ever do this to us

OK maybe it's better idk, but I don't want to learn how to navigate yet another platform so I'm just sticking to the OG

Fr, our bank rolled out Pro a couple months ago and everyone hates it. I've had a few MD's in my group ask me to show them where to find certain things at and it even takes me a while to figure it out. The "refreshed" UI is marginally worse than CIQ (IMO) and just makes it more difficult to navigate. Also agree on the plug in part, CIQ plug ins are far superior and easier to navigate.

Our Partner is so pissed that we are switching to Factset which while subpar vs CIQ has better pricing. Personally, I don't care, since all my old models don't work with CIQ Pro anymore.

By changing the whole formula logic and rushing Pro without proper integration with old templates (which they are unsuccessfully trying to fix on the go), CIQ gave away its biggest advantage - people sticking to CIQ due to a decade of being used to its interface and having models built in CIQ. These sort of changes bring the biggest opportunities for competitors to gain market share and S&P will likely be paying for this mistake.
