Hello,

I'm a current freshman at a T20 regarding as strong-ish for IB. Everyone seems like they already have some connection through family or friends to get into IB, yet I don't know anyone like that. What I'm seeing is that my school is hosting a lot of information sessions from big name banks and consulting firms coming in, where an individual company comes in on one day and has their own session.
Is it worth it going to these sessions as a freshman? It's worth noting that I have virtually no finance experience listed on my resume, no clubs since the year hasn't really started yet, and no GPA since I've, again, barely started. If it is worth it, what would I go there and ask? Is it just to put my name out and ask questions about what I can do to make myself competitive? And should I bring my resume even though it doesn't exactly have anything finance related on it?
Thanks for any feedback.
