Career in Singapore

Hi folks,

So I've been wondering about making career moves, be it from Europe or US, to Singapore. I'm a big fan of Jim Rogers who constantly says that if you want to go to a really exciting place in the next century, regarding business and finance, go to Asia. He made me quite interested in the idea and I guess he's got a point seeing the past few decades of growth there.

So I'd appreciate some insights from people working and living in the city. What is your overall experience with the place? What are the fastest growing and most exciting segments of finance there? Is it even possible for a European/American to move there and be "successful"? (Know some who were but they might be outliers) How is it perceived working there for a few years if you want to come back to London or NY?
