Career Pivot Corporate Finance to IB or Equity Research

Hello I am a finance student set to graduate in May 2024 from a mid-range target school. Initially uncertain about my career path, I've recently committed to corporate finance, by accepting a job at one of the biggest financial services firms. However, I've begun reconsidering this decision and am now contemplating a shift towards investment banking (IB) or Equity Research. I'm seeking insights on the feasibility of this transition and how best to approach it. With a strong resume and GPA, my current plan involves gaining experience in corporate finance for about a year post-graduation, followed by pursuing a Master of Science in Finance (MSF) at a more prominent target school. This path would ideally lead to internships in IB, private equity (PE), or equity research in the summer of 2025 as well as potentially during the time I am completing school. I'm eager to hear thoughts on this strategy and any alternative approaches or suggestions to enhance my transition into IB.
