Centerview Partners London?

Invited to a first round interview for a summer internship at Centerview Partners in London.

Very surprised given I'm not from Oxbridge, which they predominantly recruit from. I was also not referred by anyone, which seems to be the other way in.

I did a summer internship in a EB in Ldn (LAZ/RTH) but did not convert. Fortunately, I had a graduate IBD offer for a much lower tier bank and have started there since.

Wondering if anyone can provide colour on CVP in Ldn? There doesn't appear to be much info on it online.

Keen to understand its key dynamics and place amongst EMEA's IBD landscape. Mainly:

1. What are its strong industries (seems to be healthcare)?

2. Does it solely work on EMEA deals sourced from US?

3. Is its brand strong in Ldn & How does deal exposure compare with LAZ/RTH?

4. How is it differentiated from EMEA competitors?

5. Also, what are the recruiting stages like?

Would help me make a decision whether it is worth giving up the FT job for a summer internship, esp. in this market.

In NY, it may be a no-brainer to take the risk. In Ldn, not so sure...?

Got to prepare well for technical interview, hours are brutal, compensated very well with base comp, looking for career bankers, passionate about m&a in their respective industries. Anything from PPA, accretion/dilution and pension accounting in GAAP and IFRS fair game. Also will have to discuss deals advised in detail asking about your opinions on the different rationales of stakeholders in that specific situation with some ratios potentially
