Citi HK IBD
Hey WSO,
Just received a first round for Citi's HK office. I go to a target in the UK.
The first round interview is 2 hours long. Is it a combination of interviews and tests? Anyone who could share some insight on the process is more than welcome. Thanks.
It's a group interview with 8 or 9 people in a group. You have one hour preparation - including a case and translation (from mandarin to English and English to mandarin).
I personally didn't interview for HK, but my fiend who had first rounds with them at NYC gave me the above information.

Probably not, seems like the first rounds interviewees do not have a superday right after.
He's not on WSO, but he told me a little bit more in detail today. So apparently you need to translate an article from English to Chinese, write an article in Chinese, and pick an article out of four to read which later you will have to comment in the interview. You have one hour to prepare for them. If you are not familiar with group interviews, I would suggest prepare for it. My friend said there were around 100-150 people interviewing in NYC, and they took like maximum two from each small group.

superday is given after "a few days" after the first round. That's what HRs said.

For the English-Chinese translation work, did you have to handwrite on paper?

i think they are now interviewing candidates studying uni in China, think they will be releasing more offers after they interview all the candidates....
Does this mean extending more offers to NYC/London candidates?

I’ve just been invited to sit for a group video interview for the 2018 IBD Summer Associate internship at Citi Hong Kong. Recruiter mentioned in email that the interview will take place for up to 2 hours.
Anyone knows what does “group video interview” mean? Specifically, what does it entail and what should I expect? This is post-online application so it’s a first round interview.
Also, appreciate any monkeys with past experience applying to the same program.

A friend of mine attending an Ivy League in the US is waiting for final-round decision after initial round. I have heard that they have already invited candidates for final-round interview. Any one know the date for final-round in NY for HK position, I heard it is 22nd something? Appreciate any input!
