Heard this as well. Tons of firms spending tons of money to misinterpret the rules.
Call me crazy, but most firms work weekends. So does that mean office everyday?
Horrible guidance and terrible execution.
Then they blame FINRA? Yea fuck right off on that.
It would be interesting if anyone has the balls to bring this up to decision makers at banks. Although their answer would probably just be to physically live at the office.

I guess we lost this battle. As someone who graduated during Covid and never saw working 5 days in the office as the norm, and enjoyed the flexibility of hybrid, this truly sucks.
FINRA having to correct misinformation being spit out by banks is too late. They should’ve done better communicating their fucked up rules. Literally have one job and they fucked it up
What would a better way of notifying banks changed anything? Their backwards rule that home offices have to be monitored by the bank is the core of why banks are just dismissing WFH. Any seniors here to comment on the policy pre-Covid?
