Citi vs Bank of America vs Credit Suisse - London

Have offers to join Citi, BofA and Credit Suisse as full-time Analyst.

Citi and BofA is team specific (Leveraged Finance) and Credit Suisse I can pick teams (mainly looking for Industrials, Sponsors and LevFin).

Any insight on culture, work, lateral to top 3 BB and exit opportunity would be appreciated.

Aware of this - do you recon that CS FSG have superior exit because of this or do you think that exiting to a MF from LevFin team is possible?

CS fsg is a solid choice, though it’s worth noting turnover in that team can be high (as with any “good” group) and they’re not the nicest bunch. BofA have some great people, although they’ve been doing a fuck tonne of refis lately and doesn’t look like they’ll be shifting their focus anytime soon. I’d choose between BofA and CS, Citi isn’t as strong as the other 2 in the sponsors/levfin space and have had trouble getting deals approved with their credit committee recently too.

Does credit interest you? If so, exit ops to credit-related roles are great from LevFin, but traditional PE is a little bit more difficult compared to FSG at CS for example.

If you just want to keep your options open and exit after 2 years, the CS offer seems good. If LevFin actually interests you, BofA is great.
