HELP WANTED---CM direct realism
I’m currently a sophomore at a semi target school studying bs Econ minoring in QDA and Data sci with a 3.7 gpa. I have a 2026 internship in non-IB CM part of an extremely large corporation with a large scale CM team directly involved in MBS markets. I have very strong projects in relation to CM, strong analytical / quantitative / python modeling and excel skills with relatively low accounting skills. Is it a realistic capability for me to break into a DCM/ECM/LevFin/MBS directly in a 2027 internship, or is my time better spent looking in other fields
