Cold email asking for a coffee chat but directed to HR??? THOUGHTS?

Note: I'm at a semi-target but the group and firm I want has an MD who went to my niche school.

I emailed around 10 investment bankers (Analysts, Associates, and 2 VP's) for a specific group for one company for the NYC office. I basically introduced myself well saying my name, major, school, grade, etc. I said I found them on LinkedIn and love to learn more about their role at XX firm (Heard mix thoughts on this approach but wtv). Attached my resume on the email too (I should've mentioned that the resume was for context but I just simply attached it to the email).

I also mentioned that I talked to the MD of their group a few times and how he was great and I also visited their office once through a networking event my school did and how much I loved it. I spoke a recent deal they went through and also mentioned that I love to learn more about it if they were involved in it. And after all that I said, "If possible, I’d greatly appreciate the opportunity to chat for 15–30 minutes at a time that works best for you next week. My schedule is fairly flexible, and I’ll do my best to adjust to your availability."

I got a response from 2 people on the same day I sent out the emails (one fairly new analyst and one vp) and I am still waiting for the rest, and both of them simply just CC'd / forwarded me to HR and didn't mention anything about my request to chat.

My gut is saying that they don't want to talk to me because I am not from their school or my email was probably not to their favor, but I have no idea! I would love some thoughts and opinion and how I can take the best step possible moving forward!! THANK YOU!

honestly prob not a bad thing. from an outside perspective, just looks like a fast track to an interview since HR is the one that handles all of that.

only concern is if you emailed all of them at once with the same template, these bankers are literally sitting right next to each other in the office, so could seem transactional.

in that case, everyone knows networking calls are how you get yourself to an interview, so if you've spoken to the MD, visited the office, it's a clear sign you've done your research and are worthy of an interview in said group.

TLDR; don't trip

Yeah I sent an email with a pretty generic template at the same time, kind of tailored some but from a quick glance it looks very template-ish. However, now 2 analysts sent a very very similar email that is fairly long saying something like "ty for reaching out... i am copying this email to our recruiting team..." and then both of them said "...if you have already reached out to others o the NY XXX team, that is fine, but going forward please direct all comms to the recruiting team... thank you again for your interest"

One Vp just sent me a short ass email saying thank you for your interest, i copied HR on this email (something like that).

I visited their office through a school networking event, but only met alumni's and the MD is the only one apart of the team I wanted and he isn't too involved with recruiting, but hopefully all of them saying that they can see my interest and copying me to HR gets me an advantage even though I wanted to coffee chat lmao
