I'm an MBA student who will be recruiting for summer associate internships this fall. Of all the coverage groups, I am by far interested in Consumer & Retail above all else. The problem is I really really do not want to move to NYC. I am open to pretty much anywhere else, but it seems most C/R groups are in New York. Do I have any options in other cities? Open to BB, boutiques, etc.

Look into Midwest banks like Blair and Baird. I believe they have C&R practices in the Midwest (not NYC). You can also look into the Southern banks like Truist, Harris Williams and Stephens.
Houlihan has a consumer retail group in Dallas.
