Convertible Bonds Group in ECM - What Is It and Exits?

Current summer analyst at a BB looking at different groups and had this group in Equity Capital Markets pitched to be. It looks like they handle convertible bonds and a variety of other equity linked or more complex transactions. Different than one of the more typical coverage groups in ECM or DCM to my understanding.

Does anyone know if a group like this has good exit opportunities or marketable skills compared to some of the other groups in capital markets? What does a banking junior in the convertible bonds group go on to do later in their career usually?

Plenty of information available online on these groups.

Indeed, they take care of converts/exchangable bonds, and sometimes depending of the bank Strategic Equity products (swaps, collar etc).

It's closer to the market than classical ecm but also less deal oriented of you see what I mean. The work is way more interesting than in DCM and can actually become quite maths heavy on the Strategic Equity side, but it's even more niche that classic Capital Markets.

Bump -  I believe some banks segement it into groups such as capital solutions or private capital markets. Interesting to hear if anyone has any more info on a group like this
