Cornell vs Claremont McKenna for student interested in IB

I was accepted to both Cornell Arts and Science and Claremont McKenna. I am interested in studying economics and later going into IB. While Cornell certainly is more well known, CMC has a very strong Econ department and a tight-knit alumni network, albeit one that is significantly smaller than Cornell’s. Which school do you think will give me the best advantage for a career in IB.

Went to one and have a lot of friends at both. Pretty simple: from a recruiting standpoint, go to CMC if you want to stay in LA/West Coast, Cornell if you want NYC (at CMC they talk a lot about Henry Kravis who’s an alum, but the majority of finance kids stay WC). Both can give you an excellent education. My sense is CMC’s culture is very close to Dartmouth’s; small, liberal arts focused, fratty, etc. Cornell has many subcultures since it’s much larger and your Econ major academic path can range from business-y ala stern or research-y ala Chicago depending on what you take.
