Corp Dev -> IB?
I work as a Corp Dev Analyst and an IB group that my team has worked with opened an Analyst position. I think my industry experience is an advantage but what do IB groups think about hiring the analysts of a client? Isn’t that burning bridges? I don’t know if I’m overthinking this but in my mind it wouldn’t make sense for an MD to risk a relationship that could lead to a deal down the road just to hire an analyst.
Am I overthinking? What is the appropriate way to reach out to the IB group (I have their emails as we’ve worked with them before).
