Credit Analyst Information?

Hello guys, I will be graduating from my masters study this year and I am still deciding my future career path. Some people suggested credit analyst to me and I would like to hear some insights from you guys.

1. What is the compensation and salary progression of credit analyst in Credit Rating Agency/iBank/Normal Bank?

2. What is the work life balance like in Credit Rating Agency/iBank/Normal Bank?

3. Are the exit opps good in Credit Rating Agency/iBank/Normal Bank?

I know there are a lot of questions, really appreciate any help. Thank you.

I can pitch in with my limited exp (started at a big 3 CRA very recently covering FIG) in a non-US context.

1. Have a masters but joined in the lowest rung. Starting salary  is around 63k USD excl bonus.

2. 9-5 basically, can be more hectic around earnings and/or depending on your specific industry/portfolio. May be different for more senior roles.

3. For exist opps, I am interested in this as well. As an anectode: a guy with 2 YOE at the firm  just left for a local MM PE firm.

And do you mind sharing your background before joining CRA?
