I applied last week and received first round invitation yesterday, this is for the New York office.

Anyone know anything about Chicago?
Spoke to an analyst in the Chicago office a few months back. From what I hear, they're like a lot of places in that they're planning on filling up by the end of August. Chicago is entirely Industrials. When I spoke with the analyst there, he said they'd already filled about half their class.
What are the first round insights that people have? Is it behavioral, technical, or a mix? When do we hear back? What is the next step?

First round was entirely behavioral and pretty laid back.
So if your from a non target is it just generally known that your application won't be viewed at CS?
Im from a non-target and I have a first round next week
But you networked right? Just trying to figure out if there is any shot as a non target without a connection at the firm
You guys need to stop thinking in terms of target/non-target.
You can make your own luck by networking and putting your face out there. The world isn't black and white, unless you make it that way
if mine says application under review, and i'm at a non-target, does that mean someone pushed my resume up to HR? or did HR just decide to review my app on their own?

Depends on if you had pre-screens or not
what do you mean by pre-screens? It was my understanding it goes first round video interview --> superday. was hoping for some advice for the video interview

Jack, did you ever hear back? I go to (UMich, Berkely, UVA) and haven’t heard back. I’m not sure if it’s a target vs non target things
I attend a similar class of schools that you do. I was told that they'd get back to me by mid-September after the initial few days post-interview passed. Hope to hear back soon, we'll see.
I heard the first round is almost completely behavioral. "Why CS?" "Why banking?", etc. Best of luck to everyone.
