Credit Suisse SF Office?

Hi, I have an offer for Credit Suisse's investment banking division in NYC.. but I worked at another bank last summer in SF and really liked SF. But I am interest in going to PE after.

Which groups are mainly in SF? (I think M&A, HC, and TMT)... and are they good? good deal flow? exists? Thanks! and would it be comparable to NY?

They have given out offers, not sure if there's still any more SuperDays, but this is from a kid that did a SuperDay with them 3 weeks ago.

couchySF healthcare superday is this friday.. which should probably be separate from the tech group.

damn so I'm assuming you got invited or did you ask hr? I just got interviewed first round but has anyone heard back regarding a superday invite?

I interviewed first round with healthcare on Sunday and was told they would get back to me on Monday regarding 2nd rounds. I didn't hear back and I'm afraid you probably didn't make the cut. superday this friday is supposed to be third round.

Sorry to say fellas, but I had my superday with the SF tech group for the SA position on Friday (2/1/13). Offers come out Monday/Tuesday.

Whiskey5For those that got offers at CS SF HC, congrats. CS HC is one of the top notch HC groups out there, but be prepared to be worked to the bones. Their Tech group on the other hand... steer clear.

Megafund exits (sent two guys to Silver Lake last year) hungry team, option for third year, internal M&A team. I liked everything I heard, turned down the HC super.

To each his own, though.

Agreed on the long hours on HC team - especially for first years. The group is led by former MS MD/VP who just moved over about 2 years ago so there hasn't been enough analyst classes to show what type of exit opportunities. The team however, is very small though so there will be great exposure to analysts.

That view from their conference room is hard to beat... especially for someone from NYC.
