Traditionally CS FSG is a stronger group than BofA FIG. However, I'd lean towards choose BofA since CS is in the shitter rn. Try doing the internship then either switch groups or lateral to a diff bank for fintech
wouldn't it make more sense to compare CS FSG to bofa FSG than to bofa FIG?
edit: didn’t realize you were actually choosing between the two and were directly recruited. nvm
Definitely BofA if you want to keep your job
Agreed BofA. CS FSG was historically strong given they financed most LBOs but this no longer the case
.
What are you on about?
CS FSG (Financial Sponsors Group) and CS FIG (Financial Institutions Group) are two completely different things. They don't interact with each other AT ALL.
I have heard CS is on a rising trend. They have attracted a lot of MDs to join and many analysts I spoke to have the highest caliber I’ve seen. I think they are the best BB to join at this time. FIG in particular has the best culture and the management are supportive of analyst recruiting. Many of the analysts’ exit opportunities are top notch.
"I have heard CS is on a rising trend" - congrats on your CS offer brother
