CVP SA 2025...

What ever happened to that CVP SA 2025 post that went viral a few months ago? My dog made valid points about how bad next summer's analyst class is and everyone in the comments thought he was kidding... just go check on LinkedIn for yourself. Genuinely don't see them as a top EB within the next 3-5 years. Can anyone internally give some insight / anyone who recently recruited with them. I am starting my networking for 2026 and want to know if I should even take the time to speak with alumni at the firm.

From what I recall, he was shitting on USC kids cause he was salty. One of the kids I personally know to be a little regarded but the USC ZBT connection runs deep. At the end of the day though, "EB" status is dictated by deal flow, not the quality of analysts.

Based on previous WSO threads, there have been several discussions about the CVP SA classes, particularly for 2024. Here are some key points from those discussions:

  1. Perception of the 2024 Class:

    • Some users expressed disappointment with the CVP SA 2024 class, noting that many candidates were from non-target schools and diversity backgrounds. This sentiment was shared in posts like "CVP SA 2024 CLASS is a fucking joke" and "CVP diversity obsession bordering on flat out racism."
  2. Diversity and Recruitment:

    • There were strong opinions about CVP's focus on diversity hiring. Some users felt that this focus might be affecting the quality of the incoming classes, as seen in the post "CVP diversity obsession bordering on flat out racism."
  3. General Sentiment:

    • Despite some negative comments, there were also users who believed that the candidates were qualified and that judging someone's candidacy based on LinkedIn profiles was not fair. This was highlighted in the post "CVP Incoming 2024 SAs."
  4. Networking and Recruitment Strategy:

    • If you are starting your networking for 2026, it might be beneficial to speak with alumni and current employees to get a more balanced view. While some users had negative experiences, others might provide a different perspective.

For more detailed insights, you might want to check the specific threads mentioned above or engage directly with individuals who have recently recruited with CVP.

I swear boutiques attract the biggest losers on the planets lmao. They lose out on an offer because of a well polished or connected kid and suddenly tweak out. Who gives a shit 😂😂😂
