CVP SA 2024 CLASS is a fucking joke

I really can't believe this but going through Linkedin and seeing the kids who are going next summer there infuriates me. Like the amount of nontarget and diversity kids they took. I am at Wharton was not even able to get a 1st round as an Asian male like the times have changed. I wish I was considered a minority so I could get easier interviews and handed opportunities just because of my skin color. Also was wondering if anyone has gotten a recent offer for SA 2024 because of that kid who bombed his soph internship this summer and lost his offer for next summer. That would be great. Overall would love to work at this firm because of the comp and prestige just sucks they won't even give me a chance because of dumb diversity hires like the soph intern kid who definitely got it just because of his skin color.

W Take on the situation. Honestly, We should make getting my offer pulled is paradise on the kid. Have class with him this semester and has to be one of the dumbest kids I have ever met since I started college. Came to class on the first day of class 20 minutes late with no bookbag like wtf. You have to literally be brain-dead to get into a top school and be this dam retarded IMO. Really pisses me off to know this kid was able to be braindead and this incompetent and get this best offer at my school. I remember people in the investment fund he was a part of saying how he brain dead in that(the club has a sub 5% acceptance rate) like he wouldn't even try in that either and just coast through this school like WHAT THE FUCK is wrong with Centerview for hiring such bottom talent. Like I really want to who at Centerview allowed this kid to land an offer because they must be braindead as him.

Such is life. Not a good time to be a white male. I was at a top target myself and I don't think there is anything wrong with recruiting from non-targets. Many times, people from non-targets are just as skilled / more skilled but haven't had campus recruiting and a career centre prepping them so they might be less "polished".

However, recruiting someone because of their skin color is just wrong. Funny how discrimination only goes one way. In my view, equality means that if a woman / colored and a white male is recruiting for the same position and has the same qualifications, the woman / colored candidate should not be de-prioritized because of their gender or skin color. The problem arises when you prioritize women / colored people despite them having much lower qualifications. Setting up quotas and separate applications for women / colored candidates where a much lower level of skill is required is pure discrimination. Employers are actively supporting the same problem they are claiming to combat.

Can you imagine the headlines if GS set up a "white male" program where only white males could apply and they took people from non-targets who hardly knows what EBITDA is while black females needed to be from top targets, top GPA and strong prior experiences? They would be completely destroyed in the media and would probably even lose clients and investors over it. When it's the opposite, everyone is cheering and padding each other on the back for the good work fighting discrimination. What a joke.

I wouldn't like seeing some American institutions, that were founded by European men (namely from German/English origin) be 80% full of Asians, and Asians are extremely over represented among recruiting pools.

same, I wouldn't want to see 80% blacks in an American institutions., you said it like I really care about racism lol

let me tell you something about blacks in the US. They think they're entitled to have the same access to opportunities to institutions built by white men across the US, but no one forced them to stay after they were set free from slavery. They just want to perpetuate  systems and institutions already well built by white tradition and remain there living comfortably without caring about further development in the same way as our ancestors did. Blacks understood back then, that cultures and societies built by white people - architecture, literature, engineering, laws, economics, etc - were far superior than anything they could have seen back in their home countries. So they laugh about white culture, but the black community, at its core, is just entertainment and no progress (only civic movements and victimization, without no value). So quit the diversity bullshit privilege, because people now have no respect for tradition and don't have a clue what it means because the liberal lazy argument of "why do you care/let others carpe diem" instills intellectual laziness and lack of curiosity for culture/history, etc. and this builds a community that lacks pragmatism (just look at the hyperliberal Canada how fucked it is - there's a recent threat about that even around WSO). Moreover, think about who are the idols of white people and who are the idols of black people. Meanwhile white people shift towards politics/military leaders and influential personalities that contributed hugely in history (Augusts, Napoleon, Caesar, Montesquieu, etc. etc.) black people can only get inspired by people related to civic movements (MLK, Malcolm X, etc.), so their theories about advancing society are superficial and not valuable compared to the philosophy that surrounds the politics that white men aspire for one country. Because, my dear ignorant reader, you either build reality based on what you see day to day (and the current generations are extremely fucked up and I would shit my pants of laughing if I heard you that you look around you and get inspired to do something bigger in life) or you build a society based on past ideals/inspired from past ideals (and that's where history becomes relevant), but do you think that blacks have a respect for history? Nah, in their view, until 1950/60 all history is white men history so they throw it at the bin lol - irrelevant; so why the fuck I would want to see a 80% black institution or a 80% Asian institution when at its core, US is a white country with European/English heritage? Indians, at least, are extremely humble and hard working and hats off for them, but blacks go around with a sense of entitlement like they own the US (and could be, because politicans are so afraid of political correctness/racism/media, that whenever someone from the black community screams any bullshit, they must acknowledge and consider it because otherwise they're racist :'((( but to not be so negative, I actually respect the shit out of blacks that are in the military serving the country, those are the blacks that I want to see succeeding in this country, and not some ghetto guy that has 30+ years old and still behaves like an adolescent carrying drugs and police accidentally crushes his neck.

p,s, if this comments gains the controversial status, I'll move to Wakanda
