Good culture overall but gets pretty intense depending on who you work with. Hours wise fairly standard for street, on higher end for DB IB teams (behind HC and IND)

Its clearly one of the stronger LevFin groups. DB as a brand might not be the absolute best these days but if you want to do LevFin or stay in credit or cap markets its great. You will be much more hands on compared to some US banks where LevFin is more process and admin heavy.

Does anyone have any info on who the rainmakers are in the group?

Answers above capture it well. It's a top group at DB, along with FSG and REGLL, with a good culture but generally a lot of work (typically more than FSG and REGLL, but less than some of the worst groups like IND and HC).

Some MD/D/VP sub-chains are more intense than others, but overall, everyone is very tolerable to work with.

Ah yes sponsors is definitely still a top group… you clearly don’t work at DB

Is it not a top group anymore? My impression is that it's probably the best/one of the best groups to be in.

I know they've been starting something of an M&A team with a handful of juniors. Does that have anything to do with it?
