DCM or ECM
Is it possible to transition from Commercial Banking to ECM or DCM?
I am currently working for a large middle market bank as a financial analyst, and have thought about the idea of transferring in the future. Although, ECM is more interesting to me, I am imagining DCM would be more easily transferable as I am dealing with debt on a regular basis and could have some more experience/talking points. If anyone has some insight as to how doable this is, or some possible advice to get into the industry I would appreciate it.
