A company might not do marketing if they're a frequent issuer in the market and know that investors would snap up their bonds anyway e.g., if Volvo went to the bond market, they can be pretty sure of investors snapping up their bonds without any marketing necessary - people already know about the company.

Marketing tends to be more necessary for first time issuers or infrequent issuers/not very known entitites.

I know of roadshows but was wondering if it's any deeper, any other marketing techniques apart from meetings with potential investors?

And - any other reasons you know of why a company might not market or is the main one the one you mentioned above.

Thank you
