DCM/Lev Fin resume question

Curious how to handle. Started out of college at a lower tier BB doing plain, vanilla IG DCM for 2.5 years. Was looking to leave banking but didn’t have the right opportunities, and ultimately moved to the bank’s Lev Fin team this summer.

Out of nowhere, a few of the recruiters from the previous jobs that gone dormant in the hiring process  just hit me up wondering if I was still looking to move. Obviously, I have been in my new seat for just a few months but am much more eager to explore these opportunities. However, given the short length of time I’ve been in the seat, I’m naturally worried it may look odd/weird to these recruiters.

Should I just leave it off my resume and proceed as if I am still in my current seat? Or is it possible to even “combine” both positions as debt capital markets and flag I’ve covered both high yield and IG deals? Normally, I would be more fine with the former approach, but I’ve actually had the opportunity to be on a few HY deals since I’ve joined this summer and think including them could be beneficial for my resume…. But also am aware it may look bad to see a role for only a few months. Any advice is appreciated - thanks!

Id say put levfin on your resume. And list the deal experience. They don’t mind you just transferred groups and if anything levfin is often more transferable to future roles

Who knows - by the time your new role starts you may have been in levfin for a few months which is good experience esp if going into a debt role you will have accumulated experience across IG and HY

Thanks for the response man. Would you recommend just putting it as a whole new job, or still under just a broader DCM title and explaining I covered both IG and HY deals and listing both IG/HY deals

is this a move to coverage?

No, AM. Was initially exploring some AM roles but had some difficulty closing, so thought moving to coverage would help out but I’m pretty set at moving on from banking
