not trying to be rude, only constructive, but yes I would say you are the problem. With how many people are reaching out to bankers to network, you have to have some kind of differentiator. Center your emails around a targeted shared trait, whether it be same university, shared hobby, etc. Just saying you came across their linkedin profile and want to chat comes across as a bit lazy. Imagine if you are a first year analyst who's getting destroyed with work and 10+ networking emails a day, you are only going to help the people that show they put effort into their outreach. I would also say your email is extremely brief. You definitely want a concise email, but your template tells me next to nothing about you. What're you studying, where are you from, even a super short tldr on why IB would make it a lot better.
Also an extra note that I am sure you're already aware of, but at least my experience most MM firms put a lot more of an emphasis on networking and expect you to get to a certain number of calls before giving you an interview, which could possibly make the networking part of recruiting a bit more difficult than the more competitive firms you mentioned. It's different for everyone depending on personal and school connections but something to keep in mind.

In terms of how many conversations you should aim for, I would say 2-3 strong contacts and double that in conversations. It's also firm dependent based on how much of an emphasis they put on networking. For some firms you just need one strong contact, for others you need 6+ conversations. I would also make sure to check which groups each person is in before emailing them. If you spam the same email to everyone in the same group, they'll talk about it and likely not reply to you at all. I would try not to email more than 2 person per group per day at the most.
Lacks any element or sense of personal outreach. You could’ve blasted it to 1000 people with minimal effort, so hardly anyone (if anyone) will respond.
People want to feel important and relevant. If your email doesn’t do something that touches on one of those things, you aren’t going to have success.

You didn’t. I don’t think you’re realizing how many emails people get a day. Every single person has already forgotten you emailed them.
