Deutsche Bank Teams 2026

Can anyone provide an update on culture at DB in 2026 (in the US)? I've heard the HC group has made some changes lately like the new group head, but has the culture changed significantly? What about Industrials or Sponsors? Any feedback is much appreciated.

Takes a while for those things to change, HC has some good (for a db coverage) pockets. Industrials is pitch heavy / gets a lot of shots on goal, so you’ll work a lot but people seem generally nice. Sponsors is top group in the bank & lean but great culture from my experience working with them.

I can promise you healthcare is not doing well. Would go literally anywhere else but that hellhole.

It’s genuinely one of the worst positions to be in as far as IB groups. The team has ZERO actual deal flow, and is endlessly pitching on stuff they have no chance of winning. And since they aren’t winning anything, it’s never any off the shelf work since they always want to work with new creates to see what could stick.

On top of that, hours are horrendous, and that, plus the zero deal flow, make it extremely hard to lateral out of. Toxic culture as well. Honestly being at any decent MM coverage group that has some level of creds is better than being stuck there.
