Did I find the holy grail of WLB?

At my new firm, I find my teammates and I regularly getting in office around 8 and the whole office clears by 6pm at the latest, with a majority of folks leaving around 4-5..

Comp is nasty and the firm is outpacing the previous year’s revenue by over 20% with twice the live mandates. Culture is super laid back and everyone’s a joy to be around.

I’ve heard that even during the busiest times of the year, the latest people will stay is still 7pm and we’re only expected to answer emails on weekends.

What am I missing?

Likely less "prestigious" meaning they can't work you to the bone as much. From what I've heard banks like HSBC or SMBC or other lower prestiged banks draw talent in by offering good pay with okay WLB. If you're happy, great on you.
