Did I get dinged?

Today marked 2 weeks since my 2nd interview. I interviewed with a VP who ended the call by saying the recruiter would reach out so we can schedule a in office interview. Should I expect that I got dinged or is it normal for some off cycle recruiting takes this long for 3rd/SD? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I reached out to the executive assistant who was scheduling all the interviews and told me she doesn't know what the next step will be and the associate I talked to also gave me the same answer. I reached out to the VP and haven't heard anything so I am assuming that I got dinged. It's just that the VP ended the call with such a positive note that I am still holding on hope but idk at this point.

Ya it'd be strange for them to say that only to ding you. Maybe they are still interviewing other people or have been too slammed to bring next steps to the EA.
