Didn't Realize This is a Job Requirement Now
So was browsing LinkedIn just for the fun of it and came across this golden job posting today. It's weird to see this explicitly stated as a skill now

Legit, don't want to get anyone fired over this so I don't know whether I should keep this up or not. Feel like it was some jaded analyst lol
Why would the analyst be posting job listings...? Ding.
I mean who else would put chronic fatigue in a job posting besides an analyst/associate?
I think if he was willing to put it on the job posting he’s probably past giving a fuck. I find it hilarious
They may as well tack on stimulant addiction to match the chronic fatigue requirement.
It would be refreshing to have actual, honest job postings that tell you what the job is, what to expect and some honest, true context. Most of it is bullshit, vagaries and an overinflated sense of whatever the role will actually be.
i.e. call a sales job, a sales job. Not a 'institutional fixed income strategies director of client engagement' - good lord.
truth
It's kind of amusing that LinkedIn has Chronic Fatigue as a "skill" in the first place.
Pretty sure that you can add anything as a skill
Yeah you can, thinking of adding this one to my skill set for sure
Maybe, this is the BS jobs I heard about from David Graeber. He said companies would hire someone lazy or dumb to yell at or prove a point to other employee's. He also explains that a company would hire someone for a $100k job but pay $60k so the company doesn't have to pay extra to have a body show up for work and literally do nothing and pretend they are doing important work.
No idea what you are saying here lol
IMO, a little humor in job postings never hurts. We're pretty blunt in most of our postings/inject inside jokes. No point coming across as overly formal if your company isn't. Good to have postings reflect co. culture so people aren't surprised when they show up for work. :)
