Contextually, what Iger did was more of an activist move than Peltz himself - endorsements from Jamie, the family, and added the fact Iger pleased the majority; just have a look at the cost discounts, 1.5x dividend etc. A structural issue (imo) is activist HFs larger cap campaigns - kudos to Peltz - but when most funds are swarming similar targets, a steady-state would tell you this Peltz would've needed more firepower, which is so hard to get given their size.

Investment Banking Mock Coffee Chat

“the mentor was great and extremely knowledgeable, the session was good, and I was able to have the ideal coffee chat. The only thing that could be improved was the hours available for scheduling. This was the best mock coffee chat I had and was able to apply the takeaways from my last mock to do very well in this one. Javier was also very helpful to me and we were able to connect and find like interests in our session which only helped to further improve the coffee chat. We could have focused a little more on how to improve, but I was also able to usse and adapt the WSO questions to fir into the conversation. ”

Disney played exceptional defence against Peltz, namely by partnering with ValueAct. Not surprised Disney won out—Peltz didn't have many cards left to play towards the end.
