Do any of you regret not going into computer programming/engineering?
I'm in my second year of an analyst stint, I have a couple of friends working as computer engineers, these dudes are making $250k-350k at 24/25. The salaries in that space are insane right now. One of my boys has a $200k a year position that he 100% telecommutes for. He bought a beautiful damn mcmansion in Charlotte.
On the other hand I have 15k in 401k savings. Much better than most, nothing in comparison. What does everything think is going on with wages in the sector? Will they remain at this level for long or are they going to come down, or will they continue rising?
"He bought a beautiful damn mcmansion in Charlotte" lol
Looking back, I would have liked to have taken more advanced computer and programming classes. The good news is that you can teach yourself to program. As for the engineering aspect, why not look to an advanced degree in financial engineering with a focus on programming?
