Do Corporate Banking Analysts Work Weekends?

I couldn’t find anything online or on previous forums. I know corporate bankers work less hours than investment bankers but do corporate bankers also work weekends consistently, on occasion, or never at all really?

On occasion.

This happens when you are involved in a financing deal and need to revert to the client short notice.

When CB is holding the pen on the credit memo for Acquisition Financing for example, team may be informed of an opportunity on a, let's say, a Thursday and needs to revert with an approval from committee to the client early next week. Team will then have to work on the week-end to be in front of the credit committee on Tuesday midday and then inform the client that they are approved.

This normally happens less than 5 times / year.

Else you can have to put few hours in case you're working on a very important pitch that has to be shown to the client on Monday. That may happen but is very unusual.
