Do finance courses matter when recruiting as a STEM student
I was wondering if taking a finance course as an elective would help me in recruiting. Im good with my technicals and I don't reckon I would need to take a course. But from an optics perspective does it look good or does it not really matter. It would add another course during recruiting season which might take up time.
Would love to hear input from people who have looked through resumes either during screenings or just from networking emails.
Coursework just isn’t relevant here. Most resumes I’ve seen don’t include it, and to be honest, no one’s going to be looking for it.
Agreed, former engineering student here, they couldn't have cared less. They do like to see the quantitative rigor but other than that it’s more about the school you go to and how solid you are on your technicals.
