Do Groups Ever Give 100% Return Offers?
I usually see 75% as a typical percentage of interns that receive return offers, but I’m wondering if that varies much across groups. Do some groups ever give offers to all interns? If so, is it a common occurrence?
Well I mean Citi and Moelis gave every group 100% return offers, so yea it definitely happens. It can depend more on the group's need for junior analysts more so than the analyst's actual performance. If every analyst is a rockstar but deal flow is weak, then there will have to be cuts.
If we have headcount and all interns are good yes. That’s what we plan to do when hiring, but there is always 1 intern that sucks and thus we have to fill this spot through FT recruiting
