Like 6 or 7 family members of mine went to ND. I haven't heard a single bad thing about their social lives from when they were there. It's also described as a cult, but kind of in a good way. Alumni seem to always look out for each other and the community. 

If you're into sports, football games in South Bend are pretty awesome. I've been to a couple and always had a good time even though I didn't go there. 

 

If you have any interest in tech, tech IB or MM HF, Berkeley is easily the top choice. If you are generally interested in finance, ND may be better since you are direct to Mendoza, but I would choose which school you will be happier with. I also think ND has a slightly higher absolute number of IB placements, but partially because so many people at Berkeley select for consulting and MM HF (Point72 and Citadel both heavily do OCR for fundamental HF roles as well as the obvious quant OCF)

ND and it isn't even close. Look up their career outcomes for finance majors, it's pretty crazy.
