Do you own a pet while working in IB?
How does this dynamic work?
I’ve always wanted to have a dog, but the thought of being in the office from 9:00 to 2:00 and not being able to take care of my dog discourages me from adopting one. (Adopt don’t shop)
How do all of you work around this problem?
It’s even harder living in NYC in an apartment.
I have a friend in Chicago who lives in an apt and works in IB at BAML. He has a huge dog and I don’t know how he keeps him happy and well working dreadful hours and never being home
IB and a dog is not possible.
Been at a sweaty group and have two cats. Totally doable
I know cats are doable, they take care of themselves. But I also want a dog lmao

Please don’t get a dog. It’s completely unfair to the creature unless you have a significant other that will be home to tend to it.
I got a snake. Feed it like every 3 weeks and it could careless if I interact with it each day. Just gotta make sure the temperature and humidity is right and has fresh water. It was literally the only pet I could think of responsibly owning while in IB.
