Does having birthright access make you an employee?
Last Summer I did an internship where I was contracted to work at a large financial firm, and was given birthright access including a company ID and email. I solely worked for the company for the duration of the Summer.
I am currently recruiting for SA positions and don't want to lie about my past employment, and was wondering whether or not I should include this experience under the company's name. In the event of a background check, will the fact that I was given birthright access and a company email be enough verification?
What is that?
Basically access that is granted allowing access to all the resources and applications needed to work at that company. Typically includes a company issued email and access to things like VMs
What’s the difference between that and working as an employee of the company?
That's kind of what I'm asking. Just not sure if doing "contracted work" where I'm given employee access constitutes listing it on my resume, even if I wasn't directly employed by that company.
Are you still able to access stuff?
And if so does that mean you’re still classified as an employee?
What do you mean by birthright access?
