Does working at a 'focused-boutique' pigeon hole you?

There are some decent boutique banks that are popping out of the woodwork focusing on Fin-Tech, Consumer Products, Sustainability, Transportation, Industrials etc... As an analyst out of school, would going to one of these firms be limiting in terms of exit opps later? Assume you'd want to stay in banking and possibly want to move upmarket to an EB generalist platform.
