Does your firm have an internal job posting board?
My firm does not, and I personally find it ridiculous... Dominos Pizza and Jiffy Lube probably have job boards for their employees... and and globally recognized I Bank does not?

You probably just need to look around some more. Any large company will have an internal job board.
Yes, but honestly by the time a job is on an internal job board it's probably too late. I've seen a lot of people move jobs but never once was it through the internal website.
Though usually the case I've seen it work. At my old firm any time I saw a posting I was interested in I would reach out to a few people I knew in HR asking them who was the recruiter and hiring manager for that job. I would then contact both the recruiter and hiring manager to get an interview.
Staying in touch with your COO and HR is probably a lot more efficient than looking for an internal jobs board.

I work at a very large firm. I just got hired into a consulting role here a few months ago. The position is much more IT based than I would have hoped and I am really not liking the role. I am not dying to get out, but I think i'd be much happier in a sales role. Can I apply internally? Will my bosses find out? How does this work? I don't even know if it's possible to move into sales without experience in sales.. i have my series 7. Is this even possible for me?
