I thought I wanted to specialize in TMT but after joining a coverage group, I don’t like it. I’m not getting a technical experience that I really wanted. Should I lateral? I’ve closed 2 financings so far and LevFin handled the model. Maybe try EB

Look towards software / telecom's / enterprise etc.
If your group sucks at winning mandates on those then yeah lateral.
I like the MDs in my group, they respect me even tho they can tough to work for (rogue staffings up the ass, tight deadlines, etc) but they are good people. Do you think it would still be worth it to go to a GS/Barclays or EB?
