First ask your staffer for more tehcnical deals. I was in TMT. The technical deals aren't in the internet segment for one.
Look towards software / telecom's / enterprise etc.
If your group sucks at winning mandates on those then yeah lateral.
I like the MDs in my group, they respect me even tho they can tough to work for (rogue staffings up the ass, tight deadlines, etc) but they are good people. Do you think it would still be worth it to go to a GS/Barclays or EB?
