Engineering to IB
I'm currently 1 year into my first job post-grad in engineering but have firmly made the decision to pivot into finance (graduated with a top GPA at a semi-target school with a major in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Economics, for addtl. context.) At this point, I've picked up an IB textbook (just some light Summer reading) and will soon be starting a part-time remote gig at a search fund. Trying to network my ass off, but would love any advice on breaking into the industry (focus is Chicago market).
Are you in Chicago? Are you at a top engineering firm?
This should be easy.
I advise to move as quickly as possible. Lots of new grads realize they want to switch no problem
Target William Blair and Lincoln.
Yes agree with above, go for William Blair / Baird
