EU Banker Bonuses Capped?
Just read this article about banker bonuses being capped at 2x annual salary in the EU. How do any European bankers on here feel about this?

More likely base salaries would just be adjusted which makes no economic sense since bonuses are supposed to be performance incentives and they would just be guaranteed large sums without worrying whether their work is up to par.
I would be happy with an analyst bonus that is 2x the annual salary. I think they should do it right now!
What is the definition of a bank in this regulation? Is Lazard a bank? How about Jefferies?
