Anyone able to shed some light on Evercore in Hong Kong? How big is the team, what does deal flow look like, are they competitive in HK as they are in the US, any numbers on comp, and exit opportunities?

Haven’t come across them at all in HK. We usually get quite a few of pitches from banks (range from BBs to the HSBCs of this world, several boutiques and a few Chinese houses), but haven’t seen anything from them at all (or heard of deals that they were on for that matter). Friend recently told me most of their deals are done from NYC. Not throwing any shade, maybe their deals just don’t match with our sector focus.
A friend of mine mentioned them in our conversation back in 2019 and said they've done more SEA deals? Likely not a big player in China business but was informed some high numbers with comps
