Anyone have any insight into the Evercore Real Estate Strategic Advisory Group? Do they recruit for SA separately from the generalist M&A pool?

They do a lot of recaps / secondaries work and some fundraising. Would avoid this group imo because I have heard they do not give return offers.
I know it's been a year do you have any updated insights? should I apply for capital markets if that's easier
