Probably should be a question posed to the cs/ubs crowd, considering it's run by their ex head of CS EMEA IB. Maybe change title to attract them to the thread

Agree with anon comment so far — team got poached from CS in 2023, and is one of the newer teams. I spoke to the director of the team last year summer when the team was being built out, he personally seemed really chill and down to earth based on the convo I had but didn’t really speak on the culture since he was new at the time. He also told me about the various sub-sectors, how there’s a fair amount of asset divestitures within the sector as opposed to acquiring a whole company and explained other telecoms specific stuff to me like how data towers & infrastructure are favoured over other sub-sectors due to predictable revenue, limited maintenance capex and relatively high barriers to entry.

So far they advised Lumen on its divestiture of its EMEA business to Colt Technology Services for ~$1.8bn, and are now advising Swisscom on a pending €8bn acquisition of Vodafone Italia from Vodafone Group.

T.A. is ultra chill

They will without a doubt be one of the top 5 groups in Evercore London once they've settled in. They announced the $8.5 Billion Swisscom deal in less than a year of being at the firm. The SMD was also a TMT rainmaker at CS.
