Explanation of Citi SA roles?
Need some help explaining Citi's summer analyst positions.. their site gives pretty limited information:

Basically every explanation includes "As a Summer Analyst, you will receive formal training in _____, as well as master the tools needed to be successful in your summer role" Well then
I was looking at the Capital Markets Group, the corp banking group, the investment research group, pubfin group, and the risk management group
Can anyone explain a little more about any of these positions at Citi, where the groups are located, or how well the programs are regarded?
I'm not looking for info on their standard investment banking program, not exactly what I want to go into. Long question, thanks a lot
Capital Markets Group = ECM/DCM
Corporate banking = Citi break out ib into IBD and CB ibd works on m&a and equity, CB works on loans/bonds both work tgt and sit tgt
So if you were on the CB side doing loans/bonds would you have the same hours, lifestyle, exit opps as IBD?
the hours are better, think lev fin hrs
exit opps ibd is better, but if u can show that u can model well, u will do fine, i have seem many of the cb analysts went to PE, both from Citi and JPM, but more take it as a career path as bonuses are ~80% of ibd
Great, thanks. Do you know how the capital markets guys are doing at Citi? Also, do you know if they have a high yield on hiring jr year interns?
i dont know how cmo guys are doing but i do know that the conversion rate is quite high, across all departments
